Be the Moon.

Thank you, everyone, for your support with my blog yesterday! I highly appreciate it! Y'all are the best!

The sun is a hot topic! We rely on the sun for heat, light, and many other things! But, me...I dig the moon.  Did you know that the moon orbits around the sun and that the moon reflects the sun's light? At nighttime the moon is how we see the rest of the world, how to take a step, and what's right in front of our faces. Without the moon, we honestly couldn't have a calendar either.

The moon is how we, as christian "teenage" girls, need to be. As I said, the moon reflects the sun. Think about it this way, God is the sun, we are the moon. God does amazing things. God gives us the strength to get through every day situations. We need to rely on God for everything, just as the moon relies on the sun for the light so it can light up the darkness of the world. Have you noticed that society today is not good, as in it is seductive and evil. As Christians, we have a decision to make, whether to tell people about the Lord and help others, or to keep your relationship with God quiet. I encourage you to tell people about your faith in God. If telling others directly about your personal relationship with God is too hard right now (you might be a new believer or more on the quiet side) I suggest being loving and non-judgmental towards others, that will show people your "differentness" through God. I'm called to be a full-time missionary (overseas). I hope you pray about how God wants you to be a light in this dark world and about what He wants you to do with your life.  When you do what God wants you to do, you are reflecting God Himself.

The moon revolves around the sun. Just like how our lives are designed to revolve around God. It is an obligation and priviledge when you are a christian. Always live around God instead of trying to make God fit around your life. What I mean by that is, sometimes we live with priorities out of whack choosing to make our obligations meaningless stuff like our ipods ,the Tv , or even the computer. Living a God-centered life is living with an actual friendship with God, talking and listening to him non-stop in your head/heart! Be the moon and live a God-centered life!

Try new things, meet new people!

Hi, I am Taylor Logue. This blog is designed to help christian "teenage" girls and yes, it is by a "teen" girl. I believe that there is no such thing as extraordinary people, (God gives ordinary people strength to do extraordinary things) there is only an extraordinary God, who rises above everyone. I encourage you to pray and to talk to the Lord A LOT, it helps. Read the Bible whenever you can. Live a life that is glorifying to God and only God.

This past year I discovered a new type of schooling experience. I have tried homeschooling, it lasted two months (epic fail). I have tried simply "fitting in" and not being a different type of "teenager". I have even attempted to ask another girl who was "popular" if she would teach me how to be cool. After I tried almost everything I could think of, I gave up. I started to have a state of mind, that school and people in general were the worst things ever created. I guess all I needed was a change. I needed to try something new. Over the summer of 2009 I started to embrace my differentness (no, differentness is not a word). About a month before school started, my parents told my sister that they were going to attempt to enroll us in a charter school. I immediately expressed my anger and frustration with what they were putting me through. I was scared that I was never going to find friends at this school. Little did I know that God had a plan for me at my "new school" that would blow my mind away.

The first day came around and I was terrified. I shouldn't have been. I caught the attention of everyone in the my class, because I was classified as being the "new girl." Everyone was eager to get to know me. Everyone was nice. My teachers welcomed me with open arms, and I am thankful for what they did for me.

A few weeks into the school year I had an amazing best friend, actually my whole class was my best friends. I loved everyone and by the time we all got to know each other, I would've taken a bullet for any of my teachers and my classmates. I never felt insecure. Let me tell you, that this school is not your normal school. This school rooted for me no matter what. No one was ever against me. I never had an antagonist, for which I am grateful.

I learned more than my mind could grasp. I didn't just learn history or how to write, I learned how to be true to myself, and how to love everyone.

Now, trying new things are always good. Especially if you don't like change. Sometimes once you try something, you realize that it was not a good change. Most likely if you didn't pray about it or talk to your parents about it, it might not be a good choice. I encourage you to always pray for wisdom about what you would like to change, whether it is schools or it's your attitude/lifestyle. I would also like to say that striving to be different and favored in Gods eyes is amazing. It is hard and sometimes not the popular thing to do in society today. I hope this blog helps.
